Eight Months Serenade.

Our eight months came just between finals and graduation weekend, so I thought there wasn’t going to be much time to do anything special to celebrate. But Erick surprised me once again. While I was working on a project (ahem, Sid’s grad gift), he asked me to come and look at something on the back porch. As I got near the door, I heard soft music playing… and then I recognized the song. The Greatest Story Ever Told, by Oliver James. It was a song Erick had played for me a few days before.

And where was the music coming from? Hahaha. I was being “serenaded” by Scott and AJ! It was hilarious and sweet and surprising all at the same time. I’m pretty sure Scott had his laptop hiding in his van… and AJ and he were just standing there looking lovingly…at each other. Lol. But yeah. Erick and I stood out there and watched them while the song played, and when it finished, he brought me inside, and I got to hear the song again… This time with him playing guitar and singing the words. While he was playing, Scott and AJ came in my front door and handed me a beautiful bouquet of a dozen roses. Aww! Thank you, Erick. Everything was so sweet.
